FAQ

Q. How do I book an appointment?

A. Send me an email or give me a call! I will check my availability against yours and we will come up with a day and time that works best for everyone.

Q. What time is best to schedule a session?

A. Because I work with available natural light, the time of our session is an important factor to consider when scheduling. For outdoor sessions about 2 hours before sunset is great. Natural light is readily available then, but not direct and harsh.

Q. What can I expect during a session?

A. I like to take a few minutes to first talk about what you want from the session while I set up. If we are outdoors we will scope out the area for the most favorable locations. I prefer minimal posing for a more natural feel and will happily chase kids around as they explore, though it is nice to aim for a few everyone-smiling-at-the-camera shots too. Full payment is due at this time by either cash or check. If you wish to pay entirely by credit card you can do so in advance through PayPal.

Q. What can I expect after a session?

A. I will edit and process your photographs within one week of our time together (usually faster!). I will then upload them for viewing, downloading, and ordering in an online gallery. You will be able to download your digital copies through this gallery along with a digital photo release for printing purposes.

Q. If I don’t want to order from your professional printing lab, where should I have my photos printed?

A.  I’ve written a blog post to further outlining my thoughts on this subject here with various local and online photo lab reviews.

Q. Do you photograph events? Weddings? My kid’s birthday party?

A. I would be happy to try and help you based on my availability! Please visit my Pricing page or contact me for details.

Q. What is a mini-session and how do I get one?

A. I book mini-sessions throughout the year, generally around holidays or season changes. I choose the day and time range and you can pick a 30 minute session from what is available. These shorter mini sessions are discounted in price. Keep an eye on my blog or Facebook page to see what’s going on!
